St. Anthony’s Medical Clinic provides primary and specialty care to 4,625 patients through more than 14,000 visits a year. Every day more and more families are moving into the neighborhood, and as the only clinic providing pediatric care in the Tenderloin, St. Anthony Medical Clinic is there to meet their healthcare needs. Over 30% of the patients served in the Clinic are children and nearly all (80%) of our patients live below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level ($23,550 for a family of four). Many of the children we treat are already struggling with chronic disease: diabetes, obesity, and even high blood pressure. With Tenderloin hospitalization rates for diabetes and complications associated with the disease five times the city average, the Clinic has made chronic disease management and prevention a priority. Through individualized care plans, support groups and education, patients learn to effectively manage their chronic conditions. Our range of primary care, preventive and ancillary services support all patients in building healthy lifestyles for themselves and their families.

FAQ
Suboxone contains a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone, which work to block opioids from stimulating receptors in the brain. It helps to alleviate any withdrawal symptoms and is normally administered under the tongue. Suboxone treatment is a great choice for many of our patients who are transitioning off of methadone or are looking for a more flexible substance abuse treatment program.
New day treatment center offers a methadone treatment program especially for women who are pregnant. Read more about our addiction treatment for women who are pregnant here.
