I didn’t want to go to rehab. Not at all. My family surprised me with an intervention and told me that if I did not get help that they would financially cut me off. I went but I was really angry at first and took it out on the staff at detox. Even though I wasn’t very nice to them, they hung in there and told me it was going to be ok. The medications helped and the nurses were always checking on me to see how I was doing. I was in detox for a little over a week and was able to get some much needed rest. The chefs made really good meals for us and it was nice to have some healthy food for a change. I knew I had to do rehab after detox, still didn’t want to go but knew I had to. I moved over to the guys house and they took me to classes at the treatment center during the day. We learned about addiction as a group and I was able to meet some other people I could relate to. They gave me a counselor to meet with who helped me see that I could live my life without drugs and showed me that I could fix my relationships with my family.Gary Monaco
My wife had struggled with her drinking for over 8 years and had been in and out of detox programs throughout Northern California. When she relapsed again, I was not sure what to do or if anything would ever help. I was referred to Cedar Point by another facility where she had previously detoxed and spoke to Cedar Point’s outreach coordinator who told me about the program and how they could help. I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure at first what they could do that no one else had and how long it would be after my wife returned home that she would relapse again. After working with the admissions folks, I drove her to their detox at 9:00 at night on a Saturday and they took her right in.Allen Kaep
Cedar Point Recovery is a phenomenal program. I learned all about addiction and this place changed my life. They kept me very busy while in treatment with a wide variety of classes along with other activities such as yoga, equine therapy, and acupuncture. The food was great and I put on some much needed weight. I made some friends with people that where in my group that still hold me accountable today. If you are struggling with addiction and looking for a way out I would recommend calling Cedar Point. It changed my life and my hope is that it will change yours.Crystal Reynozan
