Established in 1970 in Portland, Oregon, the Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest, Inc. is an Indian-possessed, Indian-worked, non-benefit organization. Initially an outpatient substance misuse treatment focus, NARA presently works a private family treatment focus, an outpatient treatment focus, a kid and family benefits focus, an essential human services facility, a few grown-up psychological well-being areas, a health community, and transitional lodging for Native ladies and kids. All administrations are fixated on the family as it is NARA’s way of thinking that, without the family hover there will be no future. Customary Indian culture and otherworldliness have consistently been an indispensable piece of NARA’s administrations. In acknowledgment of our support of American Indian and Alaska Natives, NARA has been regarded with a holy channel, a chain of command, a hallowed fire circle, and a drum. The funnel and drum keep on being utilized in our hallowed services; the chain of command remains at the passageway of our private office. It is our way of thinking to respect and support the passionate, physical, otherworldly and emotional wellness of our Indian individuals
