Wayside Recovery Center started in 1954 as the vision of network pioneer Sarah Mary “Sally” DeVay. Wayside at first centered around giving safe houses and backing to ladies who were destitute. Our first name was “The Women of the Way Society”. The organizers before long understood that substance reliance was a typical factor antagonistically influencing the ladies in their consideration. In 1959, “The Wayside House, Inc.,” was conceived. In 1963, Wayside moved its concentration and started to give substance misuse treatment to ladies.
