The following are Kū Aloha’s programs and the medical coverage accepted:
Hui Ho`omaikai Ika Poe O Hawai`i (medication-assisted treatment with methadone or suboxone)
I’m nearing the end of my journey at Ku Aloha. I want to say thank you to miss Gerri, she did my intake. She was so kind and compassionate. This place has helped me change my life. I dont know where I would be if I hadn’t found this place.
Been going there since 2015. Stopped because it helped me enough as it should. Plus, my counselor, Rob Parke, who I miss dearly, had to move. AAAAAAAAND they gave me Darlyn as a new counselor instead. No thanks. She had a problem with eye contact during talking and really? With recovering addicts? I’m sharing intimate and traumatic moments in my life and you want me to look you square in your eyes? She was the main reason why I stop coming to the clinic abruptly I had a tapering plan in motion but if she was going to be my counselor? By the way, everyone. I’m alright. Just alright. Kessa is a saint, Steven and Ilene are still awesome, Mary is always mindful, and I forgot the new nurse’s name (I’m sorry). David and John and Dr. Turban, no matter how few our interactions, you guys were great. One more thing, I really miss Rob. I wish Sterling stuck around…… I’ll call Jessica (her name right?) back soon. ALSO I HEARD THAT JERRY IS AT THE WINDOW? She SHOULD be at the Caribbean enjoying her golden years.
