Teen Challenge Connecticut
Teen Challenge New England & New Jersey was one of the earliest Teen Challenge ministries established in the United States. The corporate headquarters is in Brockton, Massachusetts. Ministry throughout New England began from the first center established in Boston founded in 1964. A diplomatic expansion from 1999 to 2007 established sites in all six states of New England and in New Jersey. Life-changing residential rehabilitation programs offer a faith-filled method for helping drug addicts and alcoholics change their lives. More than 400 grown-up men and women can be cared for in the Teen Challenge homes.

Teen Challenge New Haven first started its doors in 1996 under a founding director, Floyd Miles III. In 1999 a women’s program was attached and in 2008 it was relocated and joined with the Teen Challenge Providence, RI Women’s program. They help hundreds of men and women undergo freedom from addiction through a life-changing connection with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Over the years Teen Challenge Connecticut has developed from the single initial building to six buildings placed in the Hill Section of New Haven and currently has the ability to house 60 residents. Also placed on the campus is a transition program, “The River’s Edge”. Teen Challenge Connecticut also works with a Thrift Store in the town of Branford. Our current director Rev. Richard Welch is a 1998 alumni of Teen Challenge Connecticut

FAQ

Rehabs are structured treatment programs aimed at helping those struggling with addiction. Rehab can help addicts work toward a healthy, happy, and sober lifestyle.

As a person progresses with recovery and nears the end of a rehab treatment program, staff will work with the patient to develop an appropriate aftercare plan. This may include some combination of support groups, ongoing therapy, and sober living arrangements if needed.
