In 1973, Monsignor Joseph Farrell’s founded a shelter homeless alcoholic men on the Saint Mary’s convent. Renamed the “Resurrection House”, the facility was accredited as a halfway house and worked mainly on contributions. That halfway house soon developed into a professional residential, psycho-social rehabilitation center for the therapy of substance abuse. In deference to his visions and foresight to approach the community’s requirements, the facility has been renamed Farrell Treatment Center.
Since 1978 the facility provides intensive clinical residential therapy programs for substance dependent males. In 2000, they started an outpatient program. In 2007, services extended to involve intensive outpatient treatment and they began treating females. In January 2013 FTC approved two psychiatrists to start treating our patients with co-occurring diseases. Today, FTC extends an integral role in the therapy of addicts and substance abusers by extending their services.FTC has a Zero Tolerance Policy towards any sort of sexual abuse and/or harassment.
If you are worried for someone’s safety, or they have been victimized in our residential program, they can help.
