FAQ
Medical detox is the process in which a person’s physical withdrawal symptoms are safely managed and treated in a medical setting. Medically-assisted detox programs are facilitated by doctors and nurses who regularly monitor clients and modify detox protocol as needed.
The duration of your drug detox program will vary based on your individual circumstances. Most of our clients spend 5-7 days at Briarwood, but because our programs are so individualized, this timeframe may vary. Once we complete your personal assessment, we will be able to give you a more exact timeline for your detox. For more information, read our blog: How Long Does Drug Detox and Withdrawal Last?
