At Methodist Children’s Home, we believe that long-term recovery can best be achieved when the client’s family and members of the client’s support system are involved in the recovery process. It has been said that addiction is a “family disease.” Working from a systemic family framework, involving the family is an important part of the focus in each client’s recovery treatment.
Methodist Family Health provides comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral healthcare to children and families in Arkansas through a network of programs and services. The administrative staff and employees are led by Andy Altom, president, and CEO. The organization also is guided by a Board of Directors, and the Methodist Family Health Foundation, the nonprofit fundraising arm of the organization, is led by a separate Board of Directors.

I don’t know what all the negative reviews are about but my time there from 85-88 were pretty great. No kid wants to be abandoned and unwanted but as an unwanted only kid I gained hundreds of brothers and sisters. Of course ecery family has disfunction and there were a few scandals in my day but there are bad apples in every bunch. The campus is beautiful and the two home units I lived in like all the others were mansions and so inviting. At the time I was an angry kid but at times when I reflect the time spent and lessons learned have made me the person I am as a 44 year old man. If not for the love and caring I felt there after letting go of some anger I would stayed in dark place my entire life.
This place is a blessing for children and parents. Its defiantly a God spirted place. Gives children opportunitys in life. And gives parents chances to get there lifes back together. To make a better life for there children.
